I am so very excited to share my newest work with you, entitled “Pisces”! I’m honored that my favorite blog Soulbounce premiered it today on their site, and gave it a wonderful review! Editor-in-Chief Kim “Butta” Hines writes,
“Atop a soothing sound bed of percussion, flute, bass, guitar and violin, Cecily’s voice washes over the listener like a cool breeze. She flaunts her range on “Pisces” with a honeyed soprano reminiscent of the great Minnie Riperton. Cecily has a vocal style all her own, however, and continues to draw you in with her positive, introspective lyrics.”
Last Monday night, I had the pleasure of performing at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club for the first time. I can honestly say I’ve never had that much fun on stage! And all the thanks is due to my incredible brother-in-song Kenny Wesley, the band (Dante Pope, Zachary Cutler, Eliot Seppa, and Colin Chambers), and of course the audience, who really showed out for a cold Monday night! Also, I have to thank all the staff at BB&J for having me and being so helpful and professional!
This past Thursday, I invited some friends over to listen to my new album. I cooked, we ate, we listened. It was so fun & it really touched me how much they all loved the music! I can’t wait for the world to hear!
